We love nothing more than to see our WordPress themes at work in the real world, and this one is a real beauty. We had a short conversation with Erika Zehr – a graphic designer – about the work she did for iZumi Fountain of Youth Wellness Center. Erika used the Beauty WordPress theme for this site and we must say it really lives up to its namesake.
ProteusThemes: Why did you choose the Beauty theme?
Erika: From a practical stand point, the site had all of the features my client desired. Aesthetically, the template is beautifully designed! Layout and composition are really just so lovely. I went in a completely different direction with the aesthetics of the site and it still turned out great. That’s good design.
The coding is great too. Haven’t had any problems which is crucial for me as I am not technologically savvy with WordPress. I leave that to the true professionals! That’s why I buy templates and that’s why it is so important to buy from exceptional authors.
Many times I have purchased a template for a client and had so many issues that I had to buy another – wasting time and money. Beauty was easy to install, easy to customize, works like it’s supposed to and looks professional. What else could you ask for? Definitely 5 stars!
PT: What kind of business are you?
E: I am a graphic designer. I also do WP sites for small businesses. I don’t build them myself and so I rely on experts to do the work for me. This is why it is so important to find templates that are well written. This client is a massage therapist and aesthetician.
PT: How long have you been in business?
E: I have been doing sites for a couple of years. My client, however, has been in business for over 20. Part of her business is aesthetics and she’s very visual. She insisted on a site that not only functioned well for the user but was aesthetically pleasing as well.
PT: Why did your client decide to change her website?
E: She desperately needed a new site. Her first site was a free website someone had done for her. It was extremely dated, not responsive and aesthetically limited. It didn’t represent her level of professionalism.
